Blog 5: My future job




 It’s hard for me to think what my future job will be. The truth is that there are no defined jobs for those who study dance or art in general, so, for me it would be ideal to live working on anything related to dance. That would already be a step, whatever the job is.


When i started studying dance, i really wanted to work as a choreographer, directing works and projects related to dance. I really like creating, and lately i have developed my creative side in audiovisual dance-film projects. I would like very much, in the future, to work combining the audiovisual area with dance.

Also, i would like to be a teacher. I think i would be very happy teaching dance to people who don’t  necessarily have a relationship with the arts. I really like to see what dance can generate in people who are not so connected with their body and its movement.

I hope someday artists can work on what we study, and have a decent remuneration like other professionals do. I think people should stop believing that we work for free or for the “love of art”, and i know that’s something difficult to change in this system, but i think it’s something that we have to fight for.

    Yes, totally!! I hope one day art will be valued as a job with time and dedication, a lifelong life but we have to try <3

    Sometimes I have been interested in learning to dance. I don't know how good I am, but it's an idea that I find interesting. I hope you do well with your personal projects :)
